    • if you want to crack it so join good institute they will help you which have a best result join ”juris academy” for only month they will give you specific notes so after reads those notes which is more sfficient to crack llb……..mob- 8010905050.

      • Never ever join any coaching institute. They simply compile material available for free in the Internet and sell it to gullible students for anything between Rs 15000/- and Rs 18000. Classroom coaching are imparted by part time teachers ( most likely students who have just graduated and have a couple of months’ free time before they enter Industry)

Best way is to do self study. General Guidelines to crack the examination are :

        1) For General Awareness, read Newspapers regularly and make notes from Headlines.
        2) For mathematics / quantitative aptitude, read all the NCERT maths books from class VII to Class X. A little bit knowledge of Class XI maths would help.
        3) Only basic English is required that everybody has from normal schooling. There is no limit to words and meanings / Idioms & Phrases and no coaching institute can guarantee complete list.
        4) Get a reasonable good book from market for Rs 200/- to master Logical Reasoning.
        5) Basic elementary knowledge of Legal jargon / constitution is required to crack the examinations. One should learn to read legal principles / facts carefully and LEARN NOT TO APPLY ANYTHING MORE THAN WHAT IS WRITTEN THERE. That is the key to clear the Legal Awareness Section.

I am writing this from my own experience and I have been a Faculty Recruiter for all subjects for one such coaching institute having 18 centres across the city.

          • As mentioned, just get a reasonable book from the market for Logical reasoning. Logical Reasoning is plain Logical thinking acquired over 15 years of schooling. Take one topic at a time and solve the examples given there without looking at the solution. I guarantee you will get at least 80% correct in the first attempt. A little bit of practice will ensure 100% thoroughness.

Again, Legal reasoning DOES NOT REQUIRE any prior knowledge of Law. There is a very important and exhaustive section on Legal Reasoning. Legal Reasoning just tests how good you are in English , i.e, how you interpret what is stated and how you apply this interpretation to facts to arrive at a conclusion. To summarise, if the question says “A thief can thrash police if caught stealing by the policeman” and the facts mention that “A thief catches a policeman and thrashes him”, then it is to be understood that decision is TRUE. You should NOT use your experience from real life and add anything to whatever is stated in the question. That said, improve your reading speed and you will sail through.

Then there is a little bit of legal terms / components of constitution that you have studied in school in CIVICS. Buy a book ( I suggest a book by A P Bharadwaj although there are many others in the market ) and do it all by yourself.

Please note that no coaching institute will guarantee you success as all the courses offered are of maximum 21 to 25 days duration in which they are expected to coach students in Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, English, Legal Awareness and General Knowledge/Current Affairs. So they can devote maximum two to three classes to each subject, which, you would admit, is not enough.

            SUMMARY:

            1) General Knowledge is a vast subject and CAN’T be taught in classrooms. Just read newspapers of last ONE year and that would be enough.

            2) Logical Reasoning has 10 different sections that can’t be covered in 3 or 4 classroom sessions. Just think logically and that is it.

            3) Quantitative aptitude covers all the topics studied in Maths from Class VII to class X and can’t be covered in 3 or 4 classroom sessions.

            4) English – You have to regularly read newspapers, especially the editorial section, to improve your speed of reading , segregate important information from superfluous sentences and to improve your vocabulary. You get a bonus if you read novels written by well known authors. Main emphasis is on “Reading Comprehension” and can be handled by doing what I just mentioned. I don’t remember a single instance where students have been able to successfully attempt all questions on VOCABULARY ( There are millions of words and idioms in English, Remember ). No institute can do this for you. You have to do it yourself.

            5) Legal Reasoning — As already mentioned, learn to concentrate on just what is written in the question paper and give your interpretation strictly based on that. No additional knowledge from real life is required. Read Civics books of your school days that will enlighten you about the basic elements of Constitution that is required to clear this exam. Some additional knowledge can be gained from A P Bharadwaj. Don’t get flustered. Things would be new for you, but it will be new for others also.

My children are happily doing BALLB from reputed National Law University by clearing CLAT in the very first attempt by following these guidelines.

START TODAY. DO NOT WAIT FOR THE BOARD EXAMS TO BE OVER. AILET is scheduled to be held in the first sunday of May and CLAT on the next sunday. Depending on the last day of Board exams, you will probably be left with maximum 21 to 25 days for preparations.

Save money and prepare yourself from TODAY.

          • Dear Vandana,

One has to be confident if one has to get himself/herself into National Law Universities. Setting a goal to get into some mediocre college / course is plain injustice to yourself. Believe in yourself and get going. I know students who have taken year long coaching and still did not make it to NLUs. Why ? Because most of the teachers are very young and fail to generate confidence in students. A few examples are taken in class and a few more questions are given to the students to practice. Concepts are not taught as there is no time for that. And a demotivated student is the last person likely to qualify any entrance examination !!!!

As mentioned, just get a reasonable book from the market for Logical reasoning. Logical Reasoning is plain Logical thinking acquired over 15 years of schooling. Take one topic at a time and solve the examples given there without looking at the solution. I guarantee you will get at least 80% correct in the first attempt.
