Ministry of Culture Fellowship 2019

The Department of Culture, Government of India provides Fellowship in Performing, Literary and Plastic Arts offering financial support to exemplary performers and creative artists in rural and tribal areas in the field of creative arts and the country’s traditional art forms. This particular fellowship scheme is also known as the ‘Scheme for the Award of Fellowships to Outstanding Artists in the fields of Performing, Literary and Plastic Arts’.

Fellowship Value
This scholarship comes in two forms:
• Senior Fellowship: Under the Senior Fellowship, 85 scholarships for an amount of Rs. 12,000 each per month for artists aged 40 years and above as on the 1st of April of  the current year.
• Junior Fellowship: Under the Junior Fellowship, 85 scholarships for the amount of Rs. 6000/- each, per month for artists aged between 25 and 40 years, as on the 1st of April of the current year.

Eligibility for Ministry of Culture Fellowship 2019
• The interested candidates are requested to provide documentary evidence in order to support of their testimonials in proper manner.
• The enthusiastic candidates for Senior Fellowships must not be a pensioner from the Department of Culture, Government of India.
• It is to be remembered that once a candidate has been provided a fellowship then he or she will not be eligible under any conditions, situations and circumstances eligible for a second fellowship just before the completion in a successful manner of 5 years from the date of completion of the earlier given one.

Age Limit
• Senior Fellowship: Artists aged 40 years and above as on the 1st of April of the current year.
• Junior Fellowship: Artists aged between 25 and 40 years, as on the 1st of April of the current year.

Fee for Application
Application fee is not required. The application form can be downloaded from the official website or can be filled online.

Application Process
In a prescribed format, applications for the Fellowship are invited every year from Indian nationals. The application form should be attached with necessary documents and papers requested in the official notification. All the columns should be filled in bold and capital letters. A passport size photograph should be affixed in the appropriate place given for the same.

Selection Process
A high level committee of experts and specialists from various fields is perfectly formed by the Department of Culture, Government of India for the process of selection of eligible candidate for the said fellowship. The said committee wholeheartedly reviews all the applications and then finalizes the list of successful candidates for a particular calendar year.

I think, the CCRT is a useless organisation, i do’nt understand that , what this org. is doing. because , the interview date for Jr. fellowship for the year 2013-14 and 2014-15 was 1st.Oct.2016. Though in the mean time 7 months has already passed, but this Org. did not able to declare the result. What can be the reason ?????????? this is a new record .
